PHP/MySQL Error - won't load extension!

I'm trying to set up a Windows XP Apache/PHP/MySQL server.
I have been battling with this error for quite some time now:

"phpMyAdmin - Error Cannot load mysql extension. Please check your PHP configuration."

This is supposed to mean that the module isn't loading, but in my php info page I get the following:

I don't understand why I can't seem to get this to work, if it is loading the extension.

I have tried all of the normal things and I can't figure out what I've overlooked. I've set up other WAMP systems before and I think I'm just having some kind of frustration induced brain freeze. Any help is appreciated.

Ive set wamp up about 100 times now.... and i still dont know what im doing :P

My advice would be to start from scratch.
