point me in the right direction

ooooookey dokey...I know CSS and HTML, and I have a verrrry basic understanding of PHP...

I'm creating a site that allows people to upload an image and have it in a gallery type thing...

I have a login script that I've gotten to work, and I also created an uploading script that works. But, I'm a little unsure where to go from here.

I want people to upload images, only after they have registered and logged in. After they upload their image, I want the image to be automatically put on a page that is formatted the same for everyone who uploads an image.

I want the image names to be stored in a database also, and I want to be able to have a search function for this database.

Now I'm just wondering, where to start? I'm wondering if anyone can suggest any already made and available scripts for the functions I listed above. Or send me in the way of a good tutorial on the subject of that.

There are a number of ready made script such as you describe. One such is Gallery but you could find others via Google.


You have to decide what best fits your need and the ease with which it could be adapted where it doesn't.
