Ruby ... More info

Hi all,
I need more info on Ruby programming language, I want to know what can we do with it, is it web developing language ? Can we create site with it ?
Any useful information will be grateful

Go to http://www.rubyonrails.org/ for more information, additionally if you have a subscription to www.lynda.com there is a really good tutorial on there to get you started.

Ruby is a language that was developed and released in 1995 by some Japanese Guy (Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto) and Rails is the framework developed by David Heinemeier Hansson in 2005 on which Ruby runs on. so it's pretty much like C# or VB being the language and .NET being the framework.

Ruby is the language, Ruby on Rails is a framework. RoR is to Ruby what CakePHP is to PHP.
