expensive web design

just spent £3000 on a web page and now am told to get my own links organised,,,,,i aint got a clue about this,,,,,, thought i just pay and not need to do anymore

..im just not very good with computers....i paid for web design last year for small business idea but since then i have had nothing from it ,,,,I was told from the company that they were only responsible for designing the web page and that i pay them £150 a year for them to maintain.
I was also told they were not responsible for the "links",,what ever that is
recently a freind try to contact me through my website a few times and i have received nothing in my mail,,so he advice me to come to the forum to get advice...He also advise me to contact the web design company and ask whats happening and what they mean links so i will post here later

It sounds like your contact form isnt working and therefore I would contact your designer and demand he fix it as you are paying him £150 for maintenance.

As for links, I suspect he may be on about backlinks eg links on other sites pointing to yours. These are important if you want to rank highly in search engines. Again check your contract and see what it says about search engine optimisation.

Can you post a link to your site so we can check how it is doing in search engines.
