PLEASE READ: How and When to Post Your Question {UPDATED}
Before you post
- Search the forum to see if you can find a similar thread where a solution was provided.
- Have a look at the Articles, the Beginner Resources section as well as the various stickies in the forum. More often than not, your answer is in there.
- Validate your CSS and Markup (HTML or XHTML).
- Make sure that you have a valid, full DTD.
Pay strong attention to points 3 and 4 above as this will help us to give you a more prompt reply as we do not have to go through erroneous code.
Asking your question
- Provide an appropriate title for your post. Something that sums up the problem you are having. Something that is descriptive as this helps members to determine if they can provide help. This also allows for better search results. Titles that we don't like to see include "Help, I have a problem", "Quick, urgent help needed" or "wtf, my code isn't working".
- Explain the problem as clearly as possible. Mention which browsers you have tested it in and in which you are seeing a problem.
- Provide a link. If you don't have hosting setup yet, there are plenty of Free Hosting providers out there. A popular, no hassle choice is Freewebs.
- Posting Code. If you have code you would like to post, please put it in
...
tags!
- DO NOT double-post your question. It will only be deleted!
- Be patient! This in an international forum. Members come from all over the world. Some may be sleeping when you are posting your question.
- Do not hijack other members' thread. Create your own.
Still no replies?
- If you don't get a reply after 24 hours, it may be that your question was not precise enough or vague. Reply to your own thread and try using other words to describe your problem.
- DO NOT double-post to gain attention! It will be deleted.
- If you found the solution yourself, please post it! This will help others that face the same problem have an answer.
