Sorry everyone - I know this is probably a really simple issue I should know by now, but could someone tell me how to get rid of the border which appears on an image I have made into a link?

You just need to include border="0" e.g:
<img src="image.jpg" border="0">

I know what you mean! I sat there for ages scratching my head trying to figure out what it was that needed the value changed - the bizzare thing was I was even searching google using the word 'border' over and over without finding an answer and asked the question using the word 'border', and it just never clicked that this is what I needed to change!
I confess to being a putz!
