Converting phpbb template to rest of site

Is it possible to generate a similar template to the one on my forum at www.chaosfight.com/forum? I wasn't sure if this was possible but need to advertise for someone to do this for me if it is.

What?! could you re-phrase that?! Your questions is quite vague.

Re: Converting phpbb template to rest of site

I added a phpbb forum to the website, the rest of thesite files look dated but their in php and im not sure if templates will work with teh site (NOT THE FORUM - the forum is sorted) i haven't worked with php before, and there is a text based online rpg game that runs on teh website.

I'm wanting to know if i cna use templates on teh rest of the site files

Re: Converting phpbb template to rest of site

You could create a template (or buy one/ get one made) and place the existing php code into the right places. It shouldn't be too tricky but it will be a pretty custom job unless the site is based upon a popular cms.

Do you have information as goes how the php functionality was built. Is it totally custom or was an existing cms used? Either way you will need to have a template built if you want it to match the forum design. The chances of you finding a template to match that are slim.

Pete.

Re: Converting phpbb template to rest of site

Id use a different design and then could change the forum template in future to something more basic so it doesn't contract so mcuh.

I have seen some templates around, can i just take the php code and insert it into the template files? The game script is in php but its a simple text based online rpg. But i don't edit the gaming script the previous owner did this.

Re: Converting phpbb template to rest of site

hi,

i received this response from template help although it took 4-5 days of responses to get this... before this i was advised they would work..

Dear Jon,

Thank you for reaching the Technical Department of Template-Help.com!

I visited your web site, but, I'm afraid I have to say that we cannot help you with your request. Only several types of our templates
are php-based, but they mostly refer to e-commerce . Our PHP-Nuke themes are the closest to your site , but even in this case it's very
problematic that it can be integrated without total recoding the template and corresponding changes in your game engine.
So I would recommend to find some design studio which could design a site from scratch for you taking into account your requirements.

Best regards,
Technical Support Department
