The stage seems locked.

I was working on editing a symbol in a template that I am adapting.
I must of clicked on something because the symbol disappeared,
the stage turned steel blue, and I can't get anything to show
on the stage. I tried the hand tool and some other things
to no avail.I don't know how to get the stage back
so I can edit the symbols.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What program is this? Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash?

I am using Flash 8 professional.

Have you double clicked on a movie clip or something? Can you select stage from the top bar of your flash file?

You could also try closing the file, and relaunching flash.
