Looking for a 3D tutorial

Hi, looking at a few options, and I'm wanting to play around with converting a 2D logo into 3D. I'm inexperienced, and probably out of my league, but I just want to play around with it. Anybody know of any good tutorials that may help, or would like to explain the basics, from jpeg image to 3D logo? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Looking for a 3D tutorial

Creative Cow do a lot of motion graphics tutes. Third party plugins for various NLE's such as Boris 3d etc will let you do it as a video file. Also various tutes for 3d cheats in flash. I think Adobe illustrator will also allow you to extract a 3d vector graphic from a 2d jpeg.... just google them...
