Hi,
Can anyone suggest a good ftp program? Are there any good freebies or is that a false economy? It needs to work with vista (the operating system from hell). Thanks a lot Paul

CuteFTP and SmartFTP are the only ones I know of. Dreamweaver has a built in FTP.

Just been looking, think cuteftp looks good, $39.99 after trial doesn't seem bad and not too many issues with vista....hooray!
Dreamweaver will be my first purchase after I've re-mortgaged for photoshop. You would never guess I was a novice!!

Filezilla is open source...free...I find it very easy to use.

i think smart ftp is the best iv still got the free version an iv had it for like 10months :P lol all u gota do is keep updating it and it works fine

Yeah if it's free you're after then SmartFTP is a good one.
The best ever FTP program is Transmit for mac though. Pete.

For Windows: FileZilla is free, open source, easy to use, and robust. (I love the new beta cuz its twice as fast as the current release, it just has the annoying habit of always disconnecting from my server.)

Yes, i use Filezilla aswell, its superb - Easy to use and does the job efficently. It is by far the best FTP program i have used.. And i have used them all (nearly
).
