Any Free Webhosting Sites Worthwhile???

Hello all!

I'm just starting out in web design, learning my P's, Q's, and HTML's. I was wondering if there were any decent free webhosting sites out there that I could use to practice my HTML coding and start the conception of my website?

I'm thinking later down the road to upgrade to a bigger host that charges, but that is after my site takes up terabytes of bandwith because of all my visitors. Until than I just need somewhere to tinker around with ideas.

Geocities is a good one, but they all suck, and have ads...lol.

They don't all have ads. There are some half decent ones out there. Paid hosting will always be better, though.:geek:

The last time I checked, the following hosts did not have ads, pop ups or text-links. (They also existed)

Believe me they are getting some sort of benefit otherwise they would not host the site.

Most of them pack the control panels with ads, and the forums.

free hosting is only good if u have a personal site or if u just wana show some one somthing youv done and dont wana clog up your own server otherwise dont bother i know i wunt

I am tyring to get paid hosting but I have to scrape together $30 first! So if you want to help, please feel free to give me a few dollars..lol!

To get back on topic, there are no reliable free hosts out there. Maybe there are a few buzzing around, but in a year..? Between a domain and hosting, you're looking at a good $70 (£35) a year. It's not that bad for the comfort of know your site will still be up tomorrow!
