After you have done your title and background, does it matter in which order the rest goes.example do i have to do tables first before any thing else.like text pictures or does it not really matter what order it all goes in?
I have searched the internet and can not find that help any were?

Re: newbie needs help

hmmm, no tables. Tables are only mint for displaying tabular data, no for building websites. Sounds like you need to learn XHTML and CSS.

Re: newbie needs help

I build sites from top to bottom and left to right. So think of a layout and build it like that.
Background first but after that, it's easier to start with a header, then main area, then footer.

Re: newbie needs help

Thank you for your advise but as i am only learning web building for my own pleasure for my family not for a carer.i think that jumping to XHTML & CSS might be a bit to complicated for me at the moment, only so much my poor pea brain will cope with.
They might teach me that i college? if so better with a tutor.
But i have to say i am learning some thing every time i have a go.i just so love learning.
I am at the moment creating stuff using paint shop pro.nothing to hard just nice text and buttons

Re: newbie needs help

I definatly agree with Lchad. I consider myself a good web designer (using HTML, PHP, MYSQL, XHTML, CSS, Javascript and DHTML) and I tend to always design top to bottom, left to right for simplicity.

good luck with the learning
