Unhappy how to connect to local HD

Hello,

I am facing the following dilema. I would like to have a web page with a user login session and logging in leads to a movie. Due to hosting restrictions I would like to host the movie on my local hard drive. My question is can anyone tell me how viewers can locate the movie after they log in into my website. After logging in I am unable to use anything outside the root directory of the hosting server.

Thank you in advance

First off, what type of internet connection do you have? If you've got cable or DSL, it's no where near fast enough to host a regular website, let alone a movie...

Yep, you need a super fast T3 connection...probably even faster. Plus you will need generators, and a bunch of stuff. Look into getting a better hosting account, one with godaddy.com, hostgator.com, or site5.com!

I would say you best bet would be to format and put Linux on there. Then you could set it up like a server, but it would be incredibly slow.

Re: how to connect to local HD

You need a server OS. Like Linux or Mac OS 10 Server.
