To be honest, the best way to code is by hand, and there is no WYSIWYG program out there for PHP to my knowledge. Use the code view in DreamWeaver or a text editor with a browser.

hi,
I suppose Use of the code view in DreamWeaver is a better option rather than text editor with a browser.

Re: program or editor of choice for web design.....

I would advocate the use of a simple text-editor and a browser rather than dreamweaver mainly because of the price and the temptation that exists to just use the design view (especially if you're just starting out).

It's your choice in the end, and I know some people love dreamweaver - it does have a good code editor built in.

Pete.

Yeah, I do agree. I don't use anything with a WYSIWYG view. skEdit and Safari for me

I use a text-editor called EditPad Pro. I like it a lot, but it cost $30 or $40 US. I think you get a 30-day free trial.

It's very handy for PHP.
