Netscape won't display properly

Hi again!

I am having problems with my layout in Netscape. Everything works fine in IE as you can see:

But in Netscape, it looks like this:

I also noticed that my picture files must be WAY too big, as they take forever to load, so any tips on how to further reduce the image sizes would be appreciated also . Here is the temporary location you can find my page at:

Thanks in advance!

Re: Netscape won't display properly

Once again, I asked my question too quiclky, as I have solved it! But I will post my solution incase other people have the same problem... All I had to do was set the positioning to absolute with the left positioning set to 420px. So simple it was scary! Hopefully I won't cry wolf too many more times, or no one will answer my posts! Cheers!

I don't know, but I'm not taking any chances! lol Do you think it would be a good idea to test my site in Opera also? Is it popular enough? What browsers do you usually test in?

Re: Netscape won't display properly

Opera is far more popular than Netscape. Netscape didn't even make the list this year at W3Schools. In December, 0.2% of people were using Netscape 7 and 8 combined. I personally test in IE5.5, 6, 7, Firefox, Safari and Opera.

Same here ... except for the IE5.5 ... I don't support that browser anymore. For IE ... I tend to support the latest version and the one before that. If people can't get on the wagon of latest browsers than it's too bad for them. Sorry.

To be fair, IE 5.5 is very similar to 6. IE 5.0, however, is absolutely ridiculous. If you can design it in IE 5.0, chances are it will work everywhere

Re: Netscape won't display properly

I agree with Karinne: if people can't get with the program, then my website is probably not the only one that doesn't look perfect to them, so it's up to them to upgrade or suffer the consequences! Sounds a little insensitive I guess , but you can't save the world! LOL

I agree, but there are some websites that should be made to work in > IE 4 and Netscape 4. For the most part, however, you'll never have to worry about it.
