Installing mySQL on Windows XP SP 2 - any know problems?
Hi All -
I'm getting ready to install mySQL, running Windows XP with SP2 - any problems I may run into? I have read all the instructions for Installing mySQL on Windows over on the mySQL site - just would like to hear if anyone has run into anything unusual that I should look for so I don't freak out and call my computer guy for no reason (it's been know to happen Thanks Sqrlgrl |

Actually, no, MySQL is particularly easy to install on any platform. You install it and it works... it's that simple. Getting PHP to work with either Apache or IIS is far more difficult (assuming you're using MySQL with PHP) - so have a look around for common problems if you give that a go.
