Hello,
i am working on an application that will collect data in a table for one week and then it will automatically transfer that data into another table (has the same coloumns) then it will empty itself and start collecting again for the new week. i am using a mssql 2003 database, any ideas how i could go about doing this, your help will truly be appreciated. |

Re: Automatically updating table
yes if you are using forms as a front end
you can have a date field in your table which keeps the date at which the data was transferrd into this table. by using datediff (currentdate, yourcolumnvalue) =7 you can perform any action. make sure that you apply your trigger on your main form load event because i assume that your application would be using quite regularly hope this helps |
