What is your marketing plan?

I have a new site being developed, actually made a down payment to the coder today. I think it will be a big hit. That is, if I can get the word out about it.

So my question is to you, what is your marketing plan for your sites? Lots of pre-launch marketing? Wait until it has been launched and market?

Some of what I have done in the past to market other sites:
SEO
Article marketing
Pay per click
Digg, del.icio.us, etc...

Forum Marketing
Article Marketing
PPC
Social Networking Sites
-That's what I would do. First handle the SEO aspect, then find forums that relate to what you display on your site and use signatures and reply to topics and do post like, over on -site lin- I have an article or topic or what ever that covers what you want. Check it out. The rest are self explanatory.

Creating the viral buzz is one of the most effective (and cheap) ways to get the word out. Of course SEO is essential (spot on Sleaklight).

For instance, I have a site in development now http://www.tazer.tv

Its a new online social networking community and viral video mecca. But it is still Beta and have been working on blogs and articles before our big marketing push (in fact just started the first phase of these blogs)

http://tazertv.wordpress.com is just one example of the sites I have created to networking this news to other users.
