Competition and Q's
Hi
I'm a newbie to this (excellent) forum but have a question that I hope someone can help with. I am hoping to run a small competition (for UK sites) with a few nice prizes. I'm hoping that it may interest those who are looking for content whilst also helping promote my site. Basicaly the idea would be that every short review with a link to my site would be entered into a draw. Prizes would be delivered in plenty of time for Christmas! The site is completely ethical, family friendly and mainstream focusing on green issues and shopping. A press release is due in the near future. My questions are: 1. Is this allowed in this Forum and if so where should it be posted? 2. Would this be of interest to anyone? Many thanks Bud |

Re: Competition and Q's
We can help with your code when making it if that's what you meant by " Is this allowed in this Forum and if so where should it be posted?".
Please do not use this as an excuse to advertise though.

Re: Competition and Q's
Alex
Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. That is exactly the reason I didn't post a link as I also detest spamming. I fear that what I am suggesting would probably be classed as 'advertising' although my only intentions are to improve my link status by giving out some nice prizes. The idea was to quite simply to allow anyone interested to enter into the competition. Would it be acceptable if I were to make it a "PM me for details" post - no links? Thanks |

I personally don't see a problem in it,
but I am not staff so best to wait.

Re: Competition and Q's
I will have to say that is not allowed as we already run our own, monthly, competition so your site would technically be in direct competition with that.
