My client is a top lifestyle portal recently taken over by one of the largest publishing groups in the UK.
They are looking for someone to sell on-line advertising space to a mixture of digital and full service traditional advertising agencies with digital divisions.
You would be reporting to the Ad Sales Manager and working alongside a small, friendly and supportive team. The role is to manage existing relationships with key advertising agencies and to create new business leads and sales within the areas concerned.
Ideally, you should have 2-3 years of on-line ad sales experience. This experience needs to include having existing relationships with some ad agencies, being able to negotiate at mid-senior levels, and to have the ability to create a strategic sale to those contacts to build long-term opportunities. An understanding of ad serving solutions such as Dart or Accipiter is also key. Ability to manage ad campaigns to maximise results is essential.
It is a very busy role, so strong organisational skills are required, along with good presentation skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint) and good and proactive telephone manner. Team player is essential, with the desire to grow with the company now owned by one of the major newspaper groups.
