6+ months Our client is looking for a senior software engineer for the following role RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * Developing software related to ISUP and IN call processing. * Development of new code, modifications to existing code, participation in code reviews, unit and integration testing, creation of build scripts, build and release of new versions of applications. * Creation of installation guides and release notes, and bug fixes for production problems. * Creation and review of high-level designs, detailed object-oriented designs, and design documents. * Responsible for high-level and detailed application designs. * Responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements. * Analyzing and interpreting industry standard specifications and customer business requirements. * Responsible for technical support to team members, QA and operations support. Duties include research and problem resolution. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant field. * 5+ years experience in the software industry as a programmer or quality assurance engineer. * 5+ years C++/C programming language and standard computer science concepts. Demonstrated experience in several additional languages, environments or software technologies. * 5+ years experience in telecommunications. Knowledge of ISUP and wireless IN protocols. Knowledge of OA&M a plus. * Demonstrated experience with data and object modeling design methodologies. * Extensive experience with the following required: UNIX or Linux. * Experience with the following a plus: Microsoft development technologies, .NET, VB. * Experience with one or more SS7 stacks and application development environments on HP, Solaris or IX86. * Experience with SS7 test equipment including INET, MGTS, or equivalent. * Requires occasional early morning or overnight production support for planned or unplanned events. * May require occasional travel to support business development efforts. CDM or GSM may be taken in lieu of SS7-
