Assistant Web Developer

Our client is an entrepreneurial science company. They are fast growing and place great emphasis on efficient, sophisticated and continually evolving web systems.

The team are responsible for researching, designing and implementing robust and scalable front- and back-end web systems. This varied role assisting with continual improvement by working closely with all departments to enhance the internal information systems. Back-up management, network administration, and user management will also constitute an important part of this position; previous experience within these areas is advantageous.

You will need at least 12 months commercial experience to join the in-house team of Coldfusion developers.
It is essential that your development skills be complemented by an ability to communicate effectively, a willingness to assist and support all levels of IT awareness, and a well-organised approach to work.

You will be able to demonstrate that you have used Coldfusion as the primary application language in a commercial environment. You are adept at hand-coding SQL and have some experience of relational database design and manipulation. If invited for interview you will be asked to complete a short exercise to help us assess your development skills.

You should hold a good degree, preferably in a computing/scientific discipline.
