Wanted: Writers for CSS Website

Hi all,

Firstly:
This is not a position in which you will be paid.

I have been running my website, csstrickery.co.uk, for a couple of months, but I am struggling to populise it with content on my own. I would like 2-5 people to, say, once a fortnight, write a tutorial/article on anything to do with CSS. There are no limits, as long as it links to CSS. The writer would get:

Free yourname [at] csstrickery.co.uk email address.
Back-End login.
Moderator status on the (soon to be online) forums.

Wow, you put all that effort into making a snazzy website, and you don't know what to write! Whoops.

Since what you're offering is worthless, I think you'll struggle to get writers. If your site were more prestigious, then perhaps you'd be okay.

Web designers frequently underestimate the importance of content. Your design is just a shell; content makes it live. Good content is difficult to create and expensive to buy.

Good luck anyway; but I think you need a new plan.

I disagree. Every site has to start somewhere. And, for your information, I have already recieved applications.

Agreed. But I believe a site should start with content, or at least a strong plan for acquiring content. Content isn't something you just "bolt on" once the important design work is finished.

Go for it! And if you do prove me wrong, be sure to tell me: it could be useful to know how effective this method is.

This is my two cents:
Most web designers/developers know that they can make money from writing article etc. so therefore they won't want to write for anyone else if there's no benefit for them.
You may want to condider paying people to be honest!
