Functions:
Under the supervision of the Head of the division the incumbent:
¾ Creates web site designs, visual interfaces, Web pages and Web-based applications using HTML, ASP or PHP/My SQL, JavaScript etc.;
¾ Designs interfaces that adhere to usability design principles;
¾ Maintains existing websites, and provides support to update and modify existing web pages;
¾ Collects ideas and feedback from ICJ content owners and providers;
¾ Assists with the system administration of the ICJ Website servers;
¾ Follows up on external queries from website users on the content and functioning of websites;
¾ Writes technical documentation on findings;>>
¾ Ensure sensitive or classified information is not inadvertently released.

¾ Professionalism – Knowledge of programming languages, basic systems analysis and design techniques, testing, debugging, and documentation standards, database design, storage and internal systems. Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing applications with database.

Qualifications and skills:
¾ Secondary education or B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent; excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JAVA or Microsoft .NET platform, Java Script.
¾ Minimum op five years of experience in designing and developing Web sites, and designing and constructing graphical user interfaces.
¾ Excellent knowledge of Web server administration (Windows 2003, Linux, IIS, Apache).
¾ Knowledge of graphical and WYSIWYG tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash.
¾ Knowledge of office automation tools such as Microsoft Office 2003, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
¾ Knowledge of web accessibility rules.
¾ Fluency in English or French, good working knowledge of the other; working knowledge of Dutch would be an asset.
