Nav Bar Help

Hey guys, i need some help, i want to make a website with a navigation bar like this website uses

does anyone know how this can be done? i think it uses a javascript

Are you talking about the left-hand menu with the + button used to expand and contract the sub-menus?

Ok the thing is, it doesnt need to expand, ill be happy with what i have now (on the picture) but the problem is, when i add text next to the images, a gap in between them appears, when i delete the text its all fine. I tried changing text size, font, but no luck. Does anyone know how i can overcome this problem?

Pretty sure what is happening here but would like to see the code for the lists first.
