Really need a good help about images
Hi fiends this is my first encounter with you and your website. I am not accustomed to take part in such forums and I usually find my way out of my problems. But this time I am really stuck and could not find any software that could help in this problem. I know that many of you are computer experts (Do they call you computer gurus?), so this time I decided to turn on you and ask you for a suggestion. I am not really certain whether I should have posted this thread in this section, but I think Javascript is very good. I can host .js files but not java applets.
I use Frontpage 2003 because I really find Dreamweaver a bit confusing. It has a very complex layout. I have a website and from time to time I want to feature a new picture. Let me put things clearly. For example, from 9th December to 25th December I want to put a Christmas picture, from the 26th December up to 7th January I want another picture, from the 8th January up to 11 February another picture, and so on. On Frontpage 2003 there is a ready script but only allows to change the picture for 1 period of time. I want sort of a rotation of images for a whole year period of time. Do you think you could help me about this? I really want to put this in my website. Thanks ahead |

Re: Really need a good help about images
Ideally this is something that should be sorted out at the server end before the page is served. Do you have any experience of and the ability to run php or some other scripting language with your hosting service. Serious suggestion. Get rid of Frontpage and learn to code using one of the many excellent text editors available. You will obtain a far better understanding of what is happening and how to achieve things. |

Re: Really need a good help about images
I agree with Geoff. Using PHP would be a much better solution for this.
