Not sure if this is Flash or Java problem . . .
Covering my bases by posting this message on the java section and the flash section, please don't chuck me for spamming.
I have created my personal website, which you can see at http://www.mcvinnie.co.uk Depending on your browser, you will probably notice some problems with certain parts of the site. Firstly, if you rollover the 'Multimedia' option then click on one of the sub options, a new window should open and play the sequence. This is fine in Safari and Firefox but doesn't work in Explorer or Opera. I think this may be to do with the java script I have used with the flash buttons but I am not sure. Secondly (and purely aesthetic) The splash page should only show an image of a helicopter and an enter button. Again, this is fine in Safari but in Firefox these two elements have strange blue boxes round them, which are not supposed to be there and look totally out of place. So can anyone follow that? More so, can anyone suggest any action I could take in order to resolve these problems? I would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks again, Ross |

Im not sure about IE not showing your new window. If your using W3C DOM and it's not a current browser and your not offering an alernative code for that. That could be your problem. Not sure about that. One of the Pro's would know for sure. The blue box's seem to be borders. Just take those borders out.

Ok, I have now managed to get rid of the blue boxes. You were right about the border thing. I just thought that as I had not specified a border that there would not be one. Extra confusing when they do not appear in one browser but do in another.
Thanks for that. I can now focus on the java issue. Cheers, Ross |
