i want to have an image bar that will change according to the contents in my main target iframe called "contents." i need a script that will detect which page is loaded in that frame so i can change the bar image to match it. any suggestions?

There probably is a way to get rid of your frame on the top and divide your page up into div's creating the same effect and not requiring any extra scripts, but I would need to see what your frameset is like to actually know if it would work.

here's a shot of what my site looks like. I haven't finished, so the stuff circled in green is a description of what is supposed to go there: http://www.quest4him.org/shantih/site.jpg
and here is a shot of my code: http://www.quest4him.org/shantih/sitecode.jpg when the menu links are clicked, they will load an HTML file into the iframe, which is invisible except for its contents. Perhaps there is a way to intiate the change of bar when the menu button is clicked? |
