my computer has spyware an wont let me download items. So how can I get java?

You'll have to get rid of the spyware!
There are many tools on the internet that may be able to do this for you. look here.

try microsofts free anti-spyware tool, it works great:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx also you can get java here: (not sure which version tho!) http://java.sun.com/
