[SOLVED] Timed stopping script

Hello all,

I produce CDs at work that are only valid for 10 weeks then need to be updated.

The problem I am getting is that users arent bring the CD's back after the 10 weeks and are using out of date info.

The info on the CD is all .html and starts up via autorun when put in PC, all files are hidden so user only sees .html interface.

Is there any sort of script that would stop the CD working after the 10 weeks.


Any time and help received on this matter will be very greatly appricated.

You could edit the .exe Would be a more secure way of making sure it stops. Or you could do some javascript.. but that's not a brilliant way.

There is no .exe the autorun.inf file looks for index.html and starts up when CD is put in laptop/pc.

Have you any examples of this javascript please.

At the moment a

AUTORUN.inf file loads the index
Contents of autorun.inf file
[autorun]
open=start index.html


The index page has an agree button that then once press supplies all the info.
I am hoping to divert to another page once the exipiry date runs out.

Is this possible?

I remember seeing a site somewhere that the CSS change with day and night!!
Prolong the day and then edit the night-CSS so when night(date expires) the button will be diverted.

Am i making any sence here!!
