Best way for client to update their website?

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have a really basic question; as i know jack crap on this subject (im a noob) .....

What is the best way for a client to update their website? Lets say the client would be looking to update a news section with just text! Or alternatively text and images?

How would you do this? - What area of web design do i need to search, to get info and tutorials to learn it?

I really dont know anything about this!

Hope you can help a noob!

Cheers,
Edd.

The simplest way would probably be to buy a copy of Contribute. Other alternatives include installing a Content Management System or giving them access to the files which is probably a bad idea, although they can screw it up with Contribute or a CMS too heh .

Contribute should be able to handle that without installing some fancy back end.
