Hi everyone- Newbie questions
I just joined this forum and this looks like a good place to get started with my questions. Being a relatively newbie I am sure I am going to use the help of all the gurus here a lot. I worked in a telecom company for 4 years and now am planning to start a career in web designing as it always interested me a lot. At work I had done some projects on ASP and Visual Interdev. Now I want to setup a small web design firm. I registered a website and used Yahoo Sitebuilder to build a few pages on my site to get started. Currently I am looking at sws to start working on some real pages. I am contemplating between Photoshop, Dreamweaver and FrontPage. Do u guys recommend any one sw. Also what is a good place to buy the sws relatively cheaper. Photshop seemed like its gonna need a fairly good learning curve. I am not sure about the other two. Pls help me with suggestions.

Welcome aboard! Great group of people here. First thing I can tell you is forget about Frontpage. Dreamweaver is good but learn to hand code everything now and you will be better off later. Learn XHTML Strict, CSS etc. and since you have background in asp and such it should come to you fairly easy. Good luck and see you around the forums.

Dreamweaver Fireworks and Flash can do what you need. And as a bonus get Photoshop.

So can I use Dreamweaver, fireworks to make the graphical interface or will I need another tool for that.
