Newbie - help help help

Hey There!

Well isn't this a nice little family place. As you can see I'm new here and got a lovely email saying I should introduce myself to all you lovely people, so that's what I'm doing.

Currently in my first year of web design at university. In the middle of designing a site and having a few problems.

I'm using dreamweaver and some images I'm unable to load. I'm not sure why this is, but wondered if anyone can help please??? When trying to load the images it says, "dreamweaver cannot open .jpg files. Please choose an HTML or other compatible files."

Really could do with some help on this!!!

are you trying to open the jpeg with dreamweaver or add it as an image onto your page?

Hey,

I'm trying to add the .jpg image onto my page. When I drag it onto the page it comes up with that box thing and what I quoted. When I go to insert > image and try and add it through that, it adds the image to my page but its unviewable in the browser.

Any ideas??

You have to make sure when you upload the files are still not linking to 'C:/My Documents/...etc'

This is the code. Every line of code works except for the last one, for the last image.

Have you tried viewing the image in the browser to see if it works?

Yes I have tried doing that. The image does work just not on the page.

Try using the full url.

www.mydomain.com/images/image.jpg
