ok, so if google is good, then you need something else.... what server side technology is available to you, ASP or PHP?

Re: hi site search engine problem

to be honest with you, im unsure if php or asp, sad huh? im new to all this-pipex is the server [remote] thru 123-reg. i cant see on their site if its php or asp, like i said in my first post-i have a search engine builder- it indexes fine, builds the engine, it even gives a preview b4 uploading to the server which works. in the engine program window- then when i upload to the server and put the search box code on my webpage, search results go to a page of script, which gives me the feeling im getting close, b4 i was getting server not found. so i have improvements..im convinced its the settings in the search engine program, that need tweaking. i get a bit lost when it asks for output dir. etc..i read the help files. im still confused. i only have a few pages on my site so far but i want a working engine b4 i add all the other data. potentially thousand or more pages, so its crucial i get the engine running right first.

thnx for ur help.

regards

martin
