explain more... thats a very general question. How much do you know already in terms of web development / design? Do you know the languages such as HTML etc...? etc...

May I point out oluomoadebayo that an option is starting to learn HTML from scratch and using webforumz.com as a place to receive help and advice.

If you are going to start learning HTML, there is a right way to start, and a wrong way.
Getting an editor such as Dreamweaver, Frontpage or anything like that is probabally not the best start for you.

Let us know what experience you have already and we can take it from there.

I agree with Rob here, but as always there's a little more I can add. I would say that, if you want to learn how to make web pages generally and you think that you will make more in the future, then taking the time to learn HTML and maybe CSS too is definetly a good idea.
If, however, you think this will be the only website you will ever make, then there may be little point in your taking the time to learn HTML - Maybe you should stick to an editor to do it for you. The choice of course is yours.
Alternatively, if you don't want to spend money on an editor, you could use an online editing tool to help you... Sites like Geocities allow you to construct a website visually, over the internet. Of course it doesn't give you much power or flexibility, but if you want a quick and easy website and you don't think you'll need to make a website again then it's certainly not a bad idea.

Yes you can make use of it. Firstly, what tools do you have? Dreamweaver? Photoshop? ...do you use mac or pc?

Oluomoadebayo, do you have any experience at all, or knowledge of HTML? If so, how much.
What road do you want to take yourself down? You could be the sort of person that just wants to learn enough to get by... similarly you could really see yourself as a professional in the industry if you had the right skills.

If we have some info about what you already know and where you are going, then we could best advise you.... the advice would be different in each case.

Coming to webforumz.com is a good start. It's always a good step to mix with other professionals. If you were an apprentice mechanic, you will be mentored by someone who knew what they are doing.... similarly in the case, we will help you along your way, and try to get you where you want to be.

Yep, the people here are great. It's where I went from being a button masher to an actual programmer . I even learned how to type (if you ever talk to some of these guys on IM they can type 90 to nothing...) haha. But I'd suggest learning HTML. Learn all the different aspects of it. www.webmonkey.com and www.w3schools.com both are a great place to get the basics. Then if you have any questions at all plz post back here. But you don't have to have a question to post we like posts anyway .

I would love to help you on this, but I feel I would only be set off into my 'I hate dreamweaver' mode.

I used it once... didnt like it and switched back to trusty old notepad (which I swear by).

I'm sure other people know dreamweaver quite well... so stay tuned olumoadebayo.

dreamweaver is as easy and as good as you'll get, until you get the hang of html and start to hate it. then notepad and plaintext editors will be your best friends.

for now though, stick to dreamweaver.
