Questions from a beginner

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here so apologies if these questions seem somewhat basic or have been answered in another format elsewhere.

As a bit of background I am a property developer with sites overseas(Bulgaria and Spain). I am often asked if I would market property developments on behalf of other developers and I would like to be able to do this.
Presently I have a web site that I update with Macromedia Contribute and that is the limit of my web authoring talents.

To take these other developments on board I will need to develop sites from scratch and with this in mind I have started looking at tutorials recommended on here and although I do have the time to increase my knowledge I am under no illusion about the amount of work I would have to do to just be able to put up the most basic of sites.

My question is this - I have just had a meeting with a company that wants to sell me a course leading to A Macromedia Developer Qualification after completing a number of modules.
The modules are:
Access advanced, HTML,css,Javascript programming,Dreamweaver and Flash,intro to XML,ASP.net,E commerce,then Internet Services Project Diploma,and CWDD.
So do I work through the modules via the tutorials available freely or am I kidding myself not enrolling on a structured course like this.
Thanks in advance - btw the course is around 3k.

First off welcome to the forums

Second, for what you are needing a course in xhtml, css, php & mysql and an image program such as photoshop is all you need to create highly functional websites.
I learnt everything i know about web design online so it can be done

What sort of timescale are you looking at to get these sites up and running?

Sypher
Thanks for the quick reply. I am not under any undue pressure to complete any study period or to get the sites up and running.
I have plenty of time to study in whatever format but I suppose the overiding factor is that I have the work lined up already - ie with my company already selling our own property it is merely a matter of getting the information out to our clients in a presentable manner. A lot of the information comes to me from countries where English is not the first language and I have to be able to present it correctly and in a format that instils confidence in the buyer.
I do have a genuine interest in this type of work so it is not a case of me not wanting to put the time and effort in - more a case of needing advice on the best way forward.
