An invitation to visit my portfolio site

Hello everyone!

I am a web designer from Ukraine, and I'm specialized in creating photorealistic website templates (but I'm also capable of creating websites as well).
You may visit my portfolio site at www.tuarius.com.ua and I hope you'll like it

Re: An invitation to visit my portfolio site

Welcome to the forums.

Your website unfortunately isnt a good example of your skills. The moving star thing is also very tacky.

The width is still far too large when im viewing 1600x1200 lol

It is also very complicated and the customer wont want that.

They will want simplicity and it took me as a web designer to figure out your portfolio and even then there isnt a link to the actual site just the design.

You have some nice design skills but i would be worried about some of your images being copywrighted and if it ever went on a corporate site would be a problem.

Re: An invitation to visit my portfolio site

1) I don't worry about understanding the concept of my site by others. The main thing is - my site is distinctive and I doubt you will find something similiar anywhere.
2) About the moving stars - my site design looks like a spaceship which cruises through the space, and there SHOULD be the moving stars.
3) What links did you suppose to find at my site - I am a WEBSITE TEMPLATES designer, I do not make any sites at the present time (however, I'm capable of making websites as well)
4) About the site width - did you notice horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the browser? I just wanted to do so, because many sites are scrolled vertically, but mine is scrolled horizontally. I wanted my site to be really interesting and not similiar to others in all aspects, and I think I've achieved this.
5) Almost all images on my templates are collages containing dozens of photo fragments. I don't think that such images are copyrighted.

Re: An invitation to visit my portfolio site

Im afraid thats not true :P

Your site is far too big width wise and will put 98% of ppl off.
I understand what your trying to create but this is web design, not game design or 3D.
Its a different media.

You need working examples of your templates as coders may want to see how you can slice etc.

i also see what you are trying to do, but sypher is right. webpages are pages of data, not interactive media...if u were going to do this at all i would have used flash all the way.
at least then you could have made the ship move instead of using anchors....
