Hello from Todd Kopriva, the After Effects guy
My name is Todd Kopriva, and I work for Adobe on After Effects. I noticed that there were some questions about After Effects in these forums, and I thought that maybe I could help out by answering them.

Re: Hello from Todd Kopriva, the After Effects guy
Sorry, but on closer inspection it looks like this is not a site where I should be helping out. When I searched for "After Effects" to find some threads to participate in, I found several posts on this site that are advertising cracked software from Adobe and its partners; that is something that I can't support.

Hi Todd
I think you will find that 99% of members are genuine developers. you will always get the odd rogue visitor trying to advertise illegally. The moderators on this site are excellent and dont tolerate this. I also think youll find those posts probably got zero response. Please reconsider and welcome. |

Re: Hello from Todd Kopriva, the After Effects guy
The threads you found were probably in the usenet archives which you cannot post to via the forums nor do we have any power over, they are merely there as another resource for our members. All spam is deleted so there is no way we would allow something like this to slip through the net. If you could point the posts in question out to us, we can take a look and delete them if they are inappropriate.
And welcome to the forums, I hope you aren't too hasty in your departure. Regards, Pete. |

Ah, yes, it does appear that these posts are in the Usenet archives. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Hello from Todd Kopriva, the After Effects guy
Hi Ya, Todd. Glad you decided to think again. Beyond, Adobe After Effects, I am sure you have alot of general knowledge that we can use if you are willing to part with it. We are always looking for knowledgable and skilled persons. Besides answering posts, we will probably hit you up for an article or 3 for the newsletter. See what happens when you sign up for a forum. Consider yourself kidnapped by Webforumz. lol

alexgeek asked
"so do you have any really good tips for after effects?" Tip #1: RTFM. Seriously. Adobe has only recently started putting all of its Help documents on the Web. Yeah, big deal, right? The thing is, the documents on the Web are updated regularly, and users (like you) leave questions, tips, and clarifications by using the Add Comment button at the bottom of each page. Here's a link to After Effects Help on the Web: http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/8.0 If I were to post information on After Effects on Webforumz, on which forum should I do it? I assume that this thread in the Introduce Yourself forum isn't the right place. ;-) |

Re: Hello from Todd Kopriva, the After Effects guy
Todd, you won't go far wrong if you post in the Flash and Multimedia forum. I have posted a question that you may be able to answer for me, though it is more general than you might like. I've been thinking about it for a while though.
