A newbie in need is a newbie indeed!
Thanks for having me.
I'm crap at scripting but love flash and want to start by posing a Q. I really want to load a movie, which appears when you click on a button, but will let the previous loaded movie(s) carry on running underneath its replacement before it (they) finish or are unloaded. I've got about 10 swfs with separate buttons in my main movie to call up and am curious how to do it in a neat way. Any ideas? I must add that although I have persevered to do basic scripting (load/unload, levels etc.) I am extremely thick - I'm one of those sad creative types - so please explain as if you're talking to a five year old! with Thanks Kath

Welcome to the forums,
As for your question i would ask it in the flash forum but i believe you should also take a look at the actionscript bible. http://www.actionscript.org/tutorials.shtml
