Hi there - hope you can help
My website (www.paradiseinfrance.com) is working for some users, but not others. The so-called technical support at Tiscali has not come up with anything, despite the fact that it is an error screen of their's that appears to my happless clients. Their error screen claims that the file (unnamed, but presumably the index file) cannot be found, which is clearly not the case, as I and many others have no problem using the site. Here are a few bits of background that may have some bearing: the above URL merely redirects to the actual website, which is: http://website.lineone.net/~kenny.devon/ I use Internet explorer under Windows 98 and have no problem - my brother uses Safari on a MAC and gets the problem - when he uses Internet Explorer on a MAC he also gets the problem - his partner uses Safari on a MAC and doesn't get the problem, but when she uses Internet Explorer she DOES get the problem!! on the advice of Tiscali I switched all file names to use an .HTM extension rather than .html. This did not solve the problem. I'd be very grateful for any ideas, Depressed Kenny |

Re: It's beyond me!
wait a minute! your using frames...
i wondered why it would bring up the title to the page and not load the html...so i dipped into your source. i wont go into why frames are bad right now, as that would be just off topic...hehe

Re: It's beyond me!
Heartfelt thanks to both of you that replied - it's such a relief to know there's someone out there!
Between my posting and now I've been travelling to France and I've run out of energy - will try out your suggestions tomorrow |
