Hey, Y'all....Newbie Here!

Looks like I hit a pretty good gold mine here and bound to pick the brains of folks who are familiar w/ Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash. I'm pretty familiar w/ Dreamweaver & Fireworks but a complete newb on Flash, so expect some questions in that area.

just to mention that flash won't bring you far when it comes to successfully optimize and promote your business

Thanks for the warm welcome, Guys. I do have a modest 'lil home/family website to share pictures w/ family and friends back in the lower 48 states: http://hometown.aol.com/trublutex I used Dreamweaver & Fireworks to set it up and wanting to use Flash now to provide a more visual display of the photos & pizazz up the site. I've already figured out how to setup a slide-show using Flash, just wanting to get more into the meat of it. BTW, I have Dreamweaver/Fireworks/Flash MX set...not the MX 2004 series.

About myself? Well, I've always been interested in webpage building and graphic design since early 2001. My previous unit wanted me to build a web page and talked them into buying Dreamweaver/Fireworks Suite 4.0 where I self-taught on how to use it. Since then I've dabbled here and there with the applications to see what cool stuff can be done. Not a beginner but not expert either. Kinda in the "middle of the road" I reckon.

Married with two teenage boys (step-sons) and moved from Texas to Alaska 28 June 2004. I am in the military (Active Duty Air National Guard) and work in Air Defense for the entire Alaskan region. I used to work with computers and networks back in Texas (previous Guard assignment) but had the desire to go back to an active duty mission after 9/11/2001 happened. Sooo, decided to go back into Air Defense, moved the family up to Alaska, and no longer work with computers/networks on a full time basis. However, that could be changing in the very near future and Lord willin' the opportunity presents itself soon.

I could go on a lot more but don't want to bore y'all....

I've found a few .fla files via http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Interfaces/Menus/ but they aren't exactly what I'm wanting. Sure, I can dig deep into how the files are set up and could probably to some manipulating to tailor it the way I want. It would just take this noober a while to figure out what each entry/frame is composed of and what it means. I'm still lookin' for tutorials that explain the process and what each entry means.
