Now I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about css and I'm hoping to learn something from you! Apologies in advance if I torture you with dull, lamer questions. All the best, AM. |

Re: Hello all!
Yes, I keep hoping someone will ask some coding questions that will be lame enough for even me to know the answer - so ask away!
Hope you enjoy it here |

Re: Hello all!
Hi Ya, AM. I have only just started with coding pages in HTML and CSS. I seem to be surprising myself every day because I keep learning things, code them and am amazed to see they really work.

Re: Hello all!
Hi sannbe,
I sort of cheat by using Dreamweaver MX - it's not really coding as the program does it all for you. Still, I really impressed myself the other night when I edited the code to underline* some text. Woo wee, I hear you say. *After accidentally creating an unorganised list! <ul></ul> should surely mean underline!? I created my first website last month, just for advertising purposes and now I've got the bug to make it better. I'm not telling you the URL though cause you'll all laugh at me. |

Re: Hello all!
Dreamweaver is not cheating...as long as you use the code view. As for your website, I would encourage you to post it in the Critique Forum. I know that sounds horrible, but we have lots of experienced web designers here and they will give you a honest review and even offer possible ways to improve (but only if it would make your site better.) We like to help all our members become better designers. We also, as you will discover, will sometimes be come very silly. A warning...What ever you do...don't ask Jacob or Ryan about the Closet....
it's where we keep them if they misbehave. Teeeheee!!

Re: Hello all!
OK, I'll post it - you might want to sticky it as "How not to design a website". No, really - I'd like everybody's comments and the only way to get better is to be honest about yur weaknesses.
So, see the Critique forum shortly for a damn good laugh. Promise to say nothing about the closet. All the best, AM. |
