It is I!
Hi, All
My name is Mark and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm a freelance webdesigner and will be moving to Canada at the end of the year, hoping to build a living as a webdesigner there. I'm here to learn more about CSS, because I'm the old-school type 'o guy, building websites in tables (I'm more a designer rather than a "builder"). I hope I can learn stuff here, but I don't think that'll be a problem. My dutch site is http://www.allura.nl and my canadian site is http://www.poppen.ca (please be gentle :P)

Welcome to the forumz Mark! I can't tell you how many members here have converted from tables to CSS during their membership. You're in the right place.

Welcome to Webforumz! I'm sure everyone here will be able to help you through the transition from Netherlands web designer to Canada web designer (as well as the transition from tables to CSS of course  ). By the way, if you specifically want your websites critiqued, you should post them into the critique section of the forum.

Hi Ya, Mark, you will definately learn CSS here. And we have lots of skilled users who can answer just about every CSS question asked. So don't be shy...Oh, and good luck with your move...

Thanks for the replies (so far). For some reason I have the feeling I'm going to feel right at home here and learn a lot. Like I said, my pages all contain tables and I want to change that, but I can't get the CSS to work in the photoshop-designs I make. I'm frying my brains on a project for a friend I'm doeing now. I designed a website in Illustrator with a gradient background, with the intention to CSS the whole site, but it's harder than I expected..
The design looks pretty simple, but I just don't get it.. I'll post the image later so you guys can tell me the best way to edit it into a website.. First I want to find my way on this forum  Last edited by delusion; Jun 16th, 2007 at 21:16. Reason: added text..
