Hi,
just throught i`d swing by and poke my head in, being a recently certified web designer i guessed this may be a good place to start....I may float about and get some advice n info off some peeps so please dont be too harsh, just completed home study dreamweaver mx,looking to go onto h/s flash mx inbetween children and working so its pretty much all go atm Last edited by cat; Nov 24th, 2005 at 12:21. |

yes marquee style.. ive been playing with a few programs but atm java is over my head.....also need to come up with an online portfolio.. oh the joy

The html tag you are looking for is:- <marquee>Your text here</marquee> I would however very much like to disuade you from doing so. Marquee is a proprietary tag used in microsoft browsers. It wont work in browsers other than IE (cept at a push firefox, i've heard) Also, detracting a visitors attention with movement is best left to gaming / flash websites. Marquee's are very very amateurish... we've had several sites using them in our 'worst websites archive' over the years. Hope this helps,

no templates.. i had this problem with my final site on my course but the tutor never told me how to fix it.....im only using rollovers as i was told flash buttons tend to be a bit finiky...its just getting very frustrting now

Then open dreamweaver, add your images text etc. When your ready choose modify > templates > apply template to page.
You will then be asked to choose a region. Choose the region that the main content is situtated in. Now you can save your page as whatever. Now to change the prosthetics of the site, you have to open up the .dwt file and edit that. You will then be asked to apply this to the rest of your pages. |
