Smile Hello and help! ;)

Hello

I am rather new to webpages and I would really appreciate some help (you must get sick of these messages )

I am trying to create a website for my face painting business and its harder than i thought it would be........i have been using ewisoft (i think its called that?) and I am stuck at my first hurdle.

On opening my website I want the name of my business to arrive letter by letter on the page as if its all running on in a kind of comical manner, does that make sense? however I dont know where to start!! keen to learn though

any help would be soooooooo gratefully accepted

thanks

kirsty

Hi,
First off you need some good software if your planning to create a professional site.
I would advise hiring a web designer if you are totally new to this.

With the text as you describe you will need flash animations on your page.

what you describe sounds like it would work in flash....however seeing as your new to design i would not go rush out and buy it as you may overwhelm yourself (not meaning to sound derogatry, but not even the pro's can do everything at once)

Syphers suggestion of getting a designer is a valid one, as (youll find as did every other human whos starts webdesign) the first or second sites you make are rubbish. thats good though - you cant correct yourself and improve if you dont make errors. anyway, seeing as its for your business, getting a proffesional site up may be a good idea, then maybe you can design a new one yourself at a later date?

anyway - welcome to the forumz!

Re: Hello and help! ;)

Thanks guys

I am a little poor at the moment and not in a huge rush to make the site as most of the work I do comes in summer (oh for those long hots days, i can't feel my toes right now........) so I shall be going this alone and hopefully I will be able to produce something half decent by then.........any ideas of where to start or good site builders?

cheers
