I thought I would register and say hello. I have been worken on my first website for about a month now. I will post some of my questions latter. Maybe someone can help me out. But I think I am doing decent so far. www.professionalhouseplan.com Its just got all test Houses plans atm so nothing to buy. I got most of workings done, just need the gliz and glammer to make it look pretty, and then content. Then pull all the test data and Put some of my designes up and hopefully I can quit my job and be self employed I actually have some code from aspwiz if you look around and look.

I have a 1 bug somewhere, I think I have 2 var. with the same name. or something..

Is it that bad ? I thought it might be a good idea to have a forum to talk about house, designing, building etc. Since I have not seen any other sites out there with one in the building business. I am pretty much a noob with web design. I was just trying to keep a simple look. and me building the site around the forum made it realy easy. Doing all the script for the search took me forever. I had to get help on some of that.

No its just an innovative idea. I would of thought it easier to make a site rather than transforming a forum into a site lol

Thanks, It would probley be easier for you to do it but I am just a copy paster and lots of trial and error. I know how to draw houses not write code I just did not know if this was something that i should have not done and just devlop my site the standard way. Honesty I am just in a hurry to get something up that looks decent so I can quit my job.

I had this origanly as a sepert site and I kept trying to add things that My other website. www.okgpc.com/forum had. So I got feed up and I spent 10mins copying it in the middle of a worken forum. I was realy suprised how easy it all intergrated in. But there are so many mods for forums that do almost what I want do something so it gives me a good guide to follow Like bookmarking topics in a forum. ll with hopeful afew minor changes I can bookmark plans. vers writing it all out from scratch.


Biggest minus I know i have my zipper 1/2 down with people trying to Hack sites and with being able to google sniz form and hack. Just like all message boards have with keeping there version number in the footer. So I just need to keep up with patches.
