Noob looking for help

Hey everyone I am new to this and have no experience in it but it is something that I would like to get into. Any suggestions on books, websites, or advice on getting started? Thanks.

Oh we have plenty, lol....

Get ready because it's gonna be a lot of reading if you're anything like me. Here's a list of some sites & info you should probably read...memorize...know...breathe...be....or something. Have fun:

1. w3schools - Pretty much the standard for beginners anymore.
2. HTML Goodies - Helped me a LOT starting out
3. Dive into this forum! Browse as much as you can. It may look Greek to you at first (watch this user turn out to be Greek...), but as you go along and you learn more and more, things will bring themselves together. You'll be starting your own projects in no time, and you'll be able to help other newbs as they come in....gotta love the cycle.

I might also recommend a couple books about HTML:

1. Spring Into HTML and CSS - Good for beginners and to "brush up."
2. HTML for Dummies - No cracks on you, trust me...these books can teach you a lot and also keep you interested while they do it. Not too techy but they give you the concepts you'll need to know.

Best of luck to you, and don't hesitate to ask questions!

I would recommend also learning CSS as it is becoming the big thing in modern day web design... they have a good tutorial for it on w3 schools (find the link in the post above).
