Hello everyone,
I'm 30, male & based in Mumbai ( Bombay earlier), India & a total novice here. Life changed for me completely since Oct-2003 when an accident left me paralyzed from chest downwards. [ T3 Spinal cord injury with loss of bladder/bowel control ] ( sadly nothing' wheelchair friendly here & I’ve been in the same room since oct-03 , also there’s NOTHING called as disability benefit here.) Ever since then, I’m home based. My parents care for me. My hands work fine though Since last 3 months I'm trying to learn HTML / CSS/ JavaScript/ Dreamweaver/ Fireworks/ Flash through help section of the respective software’s & 4-5 internet sites / forums on home p.c. By education, I’m a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, although i've NO previous web design experience at all. Prior to my injury i used to work as a planning engineer in semi conductor industry. In this regard, I was wondering whether there exist any Senior freelance designer / small web design agency who would try out a total fresher like me? Please find below the URL’s of the sites I’ve designed so far in my 3 months of journey. (I’ve designed all these sites TOTALLY FREE , but none of them have yet chosen professional hosting.) http://www.geocities.com/lifecaredisabled/ http://www.geocities.com/eaglesnesthomesofwesttexas/ http://www.geocities.com/phantom_breeding_farms http://www.geocities.com/wild_witch_west/ Though wheelchair bound, I can work a full 8 hour day, 6 days a week and be a very productive and valued designer/assistant. I'm open to work either at ANY time zone (flexible time) YOU deem fit and always willing to go that extra mile! I’m very prepared to work TOTALLY FREE for initial one month so that one can check out the viability and practicality of this arrangement. If one finds my work up to the professional standards you seek, we can most certainly continue working together on mutually agreeable terms. YOU will decide the rate! I'd appreciate any guidance in this regard & sorry for such a looooong introduction. Thanks & Regards, abilitydesigns |

Re: novice seeks a senior mentor
Prehaps it should - but at the moment it says only to post jobs offered and until its changed I will not be encouraging members to ask for jobs in there.
