Hi
Hi. I thought I'd introduce myself and ask for some advice really. I've got a fairly good grasp of computing I think(probably not as much as others give me credit for) and really interested in Web design. I'm currently investigating different providers and looking at taking up the CIW route. What makes it harder is that each provider gives it a different title, different costs and a number of different units. I really don't know which to choose, and if it is worth completing. I've already read some of the thread's and I'm concerned that I could potentially pay out for something that might not be very good. I suspect a lot of people are able to just get into designing and know the procedures but I don't really know the best place to start.
The salary of a designer isn't the first interest to me as I'm currently in a full time position, but design is something I'm passionate about. I'm committed to hard work and completely understand that it could take a few years for the right job to come along. I would really appreciate some thoughts on this.
Didn't really introduce myself much, but I'm a 33 year old chap, Dad and husband and really want to explore other things now as I've put them off before.
Many thanks
J
