My introduction

I'm a lifetime developer. Started using the net in 1994 via Compuserve. Started web site development in 1995. Had a great crafting website that was very successful until I sold it in 2000. Then got out of the web business to concentrate on SQL and server application development (C++). Now I'm back to launch a site that will host the web services (for other sites) that I think made the crafting website so successful back in 2000.

I write in Perl. I use FireFox and TextPad. I may trade in this XP OS for Linux anyday now since I have shed the shackles of my last C# gig.

I am not a graphic artist. Although, technically I know all about it, I have neither the imagination or the patience to learn drawing software. So unfortunately, my sites are simple and some say ugly. ( Gawd, I need help there ).

I also have to relearn everything about web marketing. Now they call it SEO. So it is all news to me. I have a link exchange on my site which in 2000 was a great marketing tool ... now I read that it isn't. Live and learn. But I'll keep it online and tell the spiders not to touch it. My little experiment.

That is me. Hopefully it is not too heavy with self promotion.

Your site definately needs some design work!!

Yeah, I think I'm going to need to partner up with someone with a graphics skill set. I wanted to go with a colourful fireworks theme but couldn't really get the actual fireworks graphics to look better than garbage.

Is there a forum here to advertise for a graphics partner? no pay (except for what the get for sales at the site.)
